Dr. Mark Hughes


Mark has served as the senior enrollment officer at Anderson University, SC., Gardner-Webb University, NC., and Mississippi College. These institutions, along with Mark’s consulting clients, have experienced higher enrollment in traditional undergraduate, non-traditional, and graduate markets due in large part to his guidance. Mark’s leadership centers on positive net tuition outcomes and improving the campus experience for students while building strategic partnerships with internal and external constituents. His enrollment management expertise has resulted in a combined additional 7000 students in enrollment growth and increased student revenue of $210,000,000.

Mark has provided consultation to the following institutions: Gardner-Webb University, Carson-Newman College, Anderson University (SC), Howard Payne University, Letourneau University, Mars Hill University, Truett-McConnell College, University of the Ozarks, Wofford College, Bluefield College, Mississippi College, Mississippi College School of Law, North Central University, Lincoln Christian University, Baptist Bible College, Grace University, Vennard College, Baptist Bible College and Seminary, MidAmerica Nazarene University, College of Biblical Studies, Limestone University, Mount Vernon Nazarene University, Toccoa Fall College, Brewton-Parker College, Hastings College, Presbyterian College, Louisiana College, Shorter University, Southwest Baptist University, Reinhardt University and Charleston Southern University.

Mark earned his doctorate in educational administration with a concentration in higher education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He has earned an associate of arts degree from Anderson University, a bachelor’s degree in administrative management, and a master’s degree in human resource development from Clemson University. Mark is married to Sonja who is a nurse and graduate from Clemson University. They have four children Jennifer, Ashley, Lindsey and Hannah. Jennifer is married to Joey Lee and they have a daughter named Collins.
