Senior Vice President of Technology and Information

Greg has lived his entire life in a college town and was born in a building now used as a dorm. He recently held the title of Associate VP for Technology Services at his alma mater, Gardner-Webb University. During his time as Associate VP, the department selected and implemented new firewalls, entire wired network, entire wireless network, primary and secondary ISP providers, virtual server environment, and multiple third-party software vendors.

He started his career in higher education in undergraduate admissions over 12 years ago. During his time, he implemented a CRM for enrollment management, documented all processes, and standardized data for the department. Greg transferred to the Technology Services department as a systems analyst to serve the entire university to encourage full implementation and use of software products. He managed the DBA and Programmer to work on custom applications and help departments work smarter with technology. The use of third-party software combined with the student system required many hours of custom programming to move data and ensure data integrity between systems.

Greg earned a master’s degree in business administration from Gardner-Webb University and a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems from Gardner-Webb University. His passion is in improving processes using standardization, documentation, and technology. A process of discovery for the current environment and then a plan for improvement is one of his greatest tools.
