Emily Thomas

Vice President of Partner Relations and Senior Enrollment Strategist

Emily brings over 10 years of higher education experience to the team. Before joining Clark Higher Ed, Emily used her experience as a communication researcher to develop branding and messaging initiatives for colleges and universities.

Much of Emily’s career has been spent in enrollment, advising, and teaching within the communication discipline at two year and four year, public and private institutions. Emily remains active in the higher education community by teaching communication as an adjunct faculty member and conducting policy research for an online education journalism group.

Her strengths are many and varied, though her passion lies in the research, development, and implementation of integrated communication strategies in higher education. Emily earned an M.A. in communication from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, a B.S. in organizational and public communication from Appalachian State University, and an A.A. from Caldwell Community College.

When Emily and her furry assistant, Cooper, aren’t busy brainstorming for Clark Higher Ed, you may find them in a hammock reading a book, hiking, or kayaking the Broad River.
